I know big biz is gonna dap you but you deserve more daps for this intelligent and coherent response.

honestly though I don't care about stones thrown though because if it was part of the rock you wouldn't need to throw stones.

also my statement is not rhetoric, on the other hand the "this is a hiphop forum when we feel like it attitude" is the true rhetoric.

this album shouldn't be stickied here and especially above other true school and all school hiphop, 2013 has had some great releases. that newport authority 2 was just one example.

brother I've been to the tunnel and I've been to the limelight. I don't understand how you misconstrued my comment when it was clear as day.

I hope you aren't named after the "doowop" king sun because then you have struck a nerve with me.

as far as todays mainstream, why would I give a flying fck about that? that's as irrelevant as tetris mentioning "what gets posted here". I'm not a follower.

I don't think you're mad and its refreshing to see someone explain themselves like this. Personally I really enjoy Daft Punk so I am happy to see them on the front page like this or else I might of missed it for a few days. I see where you are coming from but if more people agree with it being here than not, its just something you are going to have to deal with. They just happened to be a popular group among hip hop fans. Again, I see where you are coming from but its majority rule and it seems like most people prefer to have this here.

thanks. honestly I didn't expect my post to get create the sort of reaction where the thread got removed so as far with "dealing" with it, I had no choice when I saw it.

yes majority rules. but as history tells it, the majority always is the short side of the draw.

the fact people want this here and this thread will have more serious posts then let's say an actual hiphop release speaks volumes about peoples tastes.

its my opinion that most the fans here are fairweather fans and gravitate to whatever is hot at the moment. then again I deal with a unique element as far as taste, its not nostaligic its genuine.

i know two people who bumped the justin timberlake album which also got a sticky here (which I didn't agree with but id debate it since hiphop producers made it) and both are women and they both listen to EDM.

both live in NYC but one is from cali and the other is from seattle. the fact I been to the limelight and had a friend who was into "vega" (I still have a limelight and webster hall trance cd somewhere in my collection) makes me feel viable in this debate.

(ill even upload it if you guys really want)

I also consider myself a much more legit hiphop fan than most here. mind you I like the song "the music sounds better with you" by stardust. its a great song but I'm not bringing that up here, its irrelevant to hiphop.

since when is dance music more complex than hiphop?

I'm not trying to be the ipod police I'm only trying to rep for the dinosaurs as the savage land is a lost forgotton world.

Metaphys is absolutely correct. This should not be stickied in the Booth. This isn't hip hop.

is it really worth moaning that this shouldn't be stickied here ?
similar to the Timberlake joint, its a big release and will be talked and these two albums are ones that people who may not stray much from hip-hop would comment on.

if this thread wouldn't have got made, another one would've..better to have it in the same place. :yeshrug:

its a new age term that stands for "electronic dance music"

I never heard the term until maybe a year or two ago reading it on here.

more irony I guess.

well since me and you over here sittin at the campfire, did you hear that newport authority 2? that ruste juxx joint was :whew:

I mean the whole tape was :blessed: tho even the cover front and back

best joint was the Kane song...think i kept the joint with Trag too.
tape/album just left me :ld:

good to hear from Kane, Rakim, Artifacts again etc but i have no desire to go back to it again.
Marco Polo's stuff hasn't really had much of a shelf life to me though (first Newport Authority, album with Torae etc)

I also consider myself a much more legit hiphop fan than most here. mind you I like the song "the music sounds better with you" by stardust. its a great song but I'm not bringing that up here, its irrelevant to hiphop.

i see no harm in it :yeshrug:

I don't see what's the point of having subforums for music independent to hip hop and then sticking Daft Punk albums in the Booth. I'm not losing any sleep over it, but I just don't see the point.
