Hmmmm maybe it's because we don't have a shytty first big off the bench anymore in pero antic. Maybe it's because we have the leading 3pt shooter at center in the entire league. Millsap is avg career high in steals and blocks. Maybe it's the fact we have a guy capable of scoring 20pts off the bench in thjr. Maybe it's because we have a lock down defender this year in thabo. Or how about a backup point who is significantly better this year and pushing for starter minutes.

That's a ton of improvements from last season.:yeshrug:

If u want to look at things at face value and just say we made the ECF so that's the best team, go ahead. But I'm not gonna act like we were world beaters in the post season. Take the 35-3 run out and we were 25-17 and got swept by the cavs after struggling vs bkn:flabbynsick:

We had Thabo last yr until right up before the playoffs

Dennis has been inconsistent this yr too, saying he's "significantly better" is an exaggeration breh

Millsap is the same player he's been the past few years here, still very important to what we do, but he hasn't taken that leap to be a great player. He's a good, All Star player for us and has been that since he came to ATL. But he's at his peak in his prime right now

I thought we were against Al shooting threes, now that's a point of pride now? :dwillhuh: I thought we wanted him to shoot his midrange and bang in the paint, not imitate Steph Curry.

And last year's team by the numbers, accomplishments and overall energy was a better squad than this yr's team. This team has accomplished nothing yet you're giving them a ton of credit and acting like last yr's team was just better on paper. C'mon man

Their starting lineup looks good on paper. It looks like flat out lack of effort. Can hoiberg really be the only one to blame?:jbhmm:

Thibs got more out of roughly this same team. Hoiberg just looks out of his league, it doesn't look like they respect him and I'm a firm believer you coach/demand certain things out of your players. Effort is one of those things otherwise they don't need to see the court.
