2nd half of the season Jeff and Tim Hardaway Jr have been two of our best players. It's Kyle Korver who has regressed even if he's hitting shots, he doesn't bring it nightly. He's getting up there in age.

Yea buddy. That team without the streak was just good. We were only a handful of games over .500 after the all star break.Its not debateable that a 44 win team is better than a 60 win team that dominated the western conference and made the ECFs ?
Hell we went to the playoffs with our only non allstar playing the best ball in Demarre. We were a shell of the team that got hot early.

Yep. The starting lineup was better but the bench was never that great last yr. But am I wrong to disagree that this team isn't as good as last yr's team at its peak? Is it that much of a leap for me to feel that way?
I feel better about this team going into the playoffs than I did coming into March, but again depending on the matchup the first round could be a problem.
You still think this team would be challenged in the 1st round this year?

Idk if this year's peak is better than last year's but we're still getting better as THJR comes along. I wish we didn't lose our bigs to injuries tho I have a feeling we might have needed them come playoff time.

Its a season not a month....take an overview of the season,60 wins and a conf final appearance is more than a "shell" of anything...

Exactly my point. Take out the month and we weren't spectacular at all outside of that.
We got pushed to 6 by the nets and the Wizards lol. And swept by the cavs. Not really that impressive in the postseason either
Last year team played great team ball but the bench wasn't that good and teams didn't know what hit them like Boston this year. Now, teams know what we do but we are adjusting and our defense is top notch

Nah. Sap has been the same, Horford slightly regressed and Teague & Korver regressed this yr. bench has been better in the second half of the yr, but the first half of this yr they were terrible outside of Thabo
Horford regressed? What? If we could have gotten this Horford last year, we would not have got swept. Sap is clearly better this year. Man, you one today breh.

I mean I'm a die hard Hawks fan, but I'm not convinced we beat Miami in a best of 7 if that's a 4/5 matchup. I think we're better than BOS on paper, but I could see that going 6 or 7 EASILY. This last month has been great & if they can play at this level going into the playoffs all bets are off, but I guess everybody in here is convinced were getting back to the ECF no questions asked.

Where was Al Horford in the first half this season? Sap is the exact same player he was last yr. y'all letting the last 5 weeks cloud your judgement for the ENTIRE season.

Breh what are you talking about? Last year's Hawks team was the GOAT Hawks team in Atlanta history. Who's talking about them like they had no weaknesses?
Some of y'all only have short term memories and are acting like this recent Hawks run is the greatest you've ever witnessed. Y'all quick to shyt on last yr's team but they accomplished way more than this team has through the same amount of time
And look at Millsap & Al's numbers this yr compared to last. For both guys their numbers are almost identical to their numbers last yr. And let's keep it a buck, Al regressed to start off this yr, we had a ton of discussions this yr about Al "pressing" b/c it's a contract yr. If Jimmy Butler & Chris Bosh didn't go out with injury Al isn't an All Star this yr. Last yr he was a consensus All Star. That's a clear regression. He's picked it up here lately but you're crazy if you think he's been as consistent all yr. Sap has been consistent and the Hawks best player this yr no question but he's about maxed out as a player. Sap is a good player who is an All Star at his peak. He hasn't elevated from that. How many conversations have we had in this thread this season about Sap not being a clutch player or how low your team's ceiling is if he's your best player? Please stop me if I'm making something up
I like this Hawks team an I'm optimistic they can go on a run if they play the right teams but I'm also looking at a team with flaws and if we get a bad draw, were not doing anything. If that's being a Debbie Downer then so be it
