I tried telling yall bout that boy blaze.

He plays with way more urgency and explosion than demarre. That boost of athleticism will benefit the starting lineup. His shooting form looks real good, only a matter of time before he gets more consistent shooting the 3.

Demarre's 3 got better as the season progressed.

Yall see young Schrö?:snoop:

Hawks PG Schroder says he will explore other teams if he doesn't start
German point guard Dennis Schröder wants to start over Jeff Teague in the Atlanta Hawks lineup or he will explore other teams, he tells the German magazine Bild.

“My goal is the starting spot. If it does not go forward next season, you have to talk to people and look for other opportunities,” Schröder said.

Schröder, 22, is coming off a EuroBasket campaign in which he averaged 18.2 points, 7.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds for 36-minute averages. Schröder started 10 games for the Hawks last season and averaged 10.0 points, 4.1 assists and 2.1 rebounds.

Teague is coming off an All-Star season in which he started 72 of his 73 games on the year. Teague posted a career-high 17.6 points per game to go along with his 7.0 assists and 1.7 steals averaged. Teague also contributed 16.8 points and 6.7 assists per game in the playoffs.

Schröder and Teague remain under contract with the Hawks through the next two seasons Schröder could become a restricted free agent in 2018.
Dennis Schroder wants to start at PG for the Hawks

He gotta chill, I think the plan all along was to bring him up, which would eventually make TMT expendable as early as next season. We bout to possibly end up without a point guard after 2018 smh

Schroeder still has like 3 years left on that rookie deal. either he becomes so undeniable that we get rid of Teague, or Jeff refines his game to the point where it would make more sense to trade Schroeder.

Hawks have all the cards here in this situation so I'm not worried

I asked you guys in the season thread last year about what should be done about this Teague and Shroder situation and y'all brushed it off. Sooner or later Shroder will start sulking and being a cancer like Reggie Jackson was for the Thunder.

Should kept his mouth shut. Let your game do the talking and everything will fall in place

Edit: He actually praises the Hawks, the city and Jeff in that interview

The Hawks are a great team, the city is nice and everything is perfect now. [Jeff] Teague? He was an All-Star and he helped me a lot. I must be patient and work hard and eventually I’ll have my opportunities.

Its not an issue for me this season

And whenever it does become an issue, we are going to get such a good trade return for either, that it wont be an issue then either.

There is nothing Schroeder does that would make him start over Teague. I like Dennis and I would want to start too, but he's still gotta improve his jumper and learn how to not play careless late in games. He's still not where he thinks he is as a PG right now

Tbh with y'all I really don't see Schro becoming a star I think he'll be really good but I've seen a lot of players look as good as he has and turn out to be just above average.

My only fears with dennis is injury or he regresses. Either would harm his trade value.

I wouldnt entertain trade ideas until after the playoffs tho. I'd like to know both players standing after the season concludes before we make that big a decision.
