I say trade Splitter for a SF and throw Tavares in the fire as the backup Center.

:lupe:
I'm not so sure Edy is ready man. Ideally, I see him as our Boban, but he's just raw and doesn't even have a feel for the game. Him being Boban may even be a stretch.

Of course the ATL
Somebody's got to go and I'd rather that person be Splitter :manny:

I'm not sure how much us getting rid of Splitter helps a team with rebounding & size issues. I don't think Edy's ready for 20-25 mins a night yet. I agree he needs more minutes, but it don't feel like trading Splitter would help Edy's development

He'll naw:francis:

I just heard Kamla talkin about it on 92.9 with Randy McMichael (who's awful BTW).

The contracts match (8 M's a year) and we finally get a legit SG. I'm tempted to do it, this team as currently constructed ain't gettin it done :francis:

Teague for Afflalo straight up? What y'all think?

I like Afflalo and Derrick Williams too. But, they still don't move the needle enough.

I honestly don't think there are any teams that can provide the Hawks what they need in exchange for Teague. Because think about it, you'll need that wing for sure and a backup PG. So we still might not get the big we need unless we sign somebody off the street like Reggie Evans, or someone of that ilk.

Yea but we gone be stuck in the same place with him. Maybe if he could play sf but he can't.

I also heard them talk about Jamal Crawford for kyle Korver. They say Jamal is not happy there but I don't see why they do it with jj

Yea he was kinda goin brazy wit the Jamal Crawford shyt...Crawford's a better scorer than Korver but he doesn't fit the style of this team...iso guards who don't play defense is the reason THJR is on the bench. I can't seriously entertain that, despite Kyle's decline

To piggy back off that. Who do you like better? Alec Burks or afflalo?

Ain't Burks hurt doe? I like Afflalo a lot, I really think he could give us a 15-20 a night type of guard who can guard bigger SFs.

@Motife43 there may not be a perfect trade for Teague, but I don't think we can operate thinking "if it ain't perfect don't do it. Y'all gotta remember this team made the ECF last season anything less than that is a failure. Don't even get me started on the disaster of an offseason we had

Coach Bud is not goin to have the urgency to make trade because his job security is so high. We can regress from last year and nothing will change that. He might feel like the team can still win as it is

We don't necessarily need afflalo for scoring. Being that he is undersized it won't help us on the boards as he is a career 3 rpg player.

I'm on the side of not making a trade unless it's perfect. Save for a Gordon hayward type of deal I don't want to deal Teague for spare parts. If ECF and beyond is your goal, Its going to take a player of that caliber or at the very least a Jae crowder
