Cutting by eating only salad and drinking protein shakes

I was going to cut in the month of June, and hopefully have a body like Pauli d by the 15th or 20th by doing hardcore cardio, eating only salad, with energy drinks and protein snakes and water. I'm going to try to keep my workout routine in tact too. So is it possible?

Oh and I'm 6'2 180-185 and I wanna get down to around 170-175.

Sounds like a good way to cut just not good in the long term but for 2 months should be fine

Now the crowd that is for multiple meals a day wont like it but I think it's all about a caloric deficit. Have some veggies and fruits to stay balanced

Dude I want my abs defined and I still have love handles and stuff I don't know what's going on.

I do ab workouts mixed in with my regular routine too. :snoop:

All I want is wash board abs once in my life :to:

Truth be told this style of dieting isn't as ridiculous as it sounds, the potential to ruin yourself is just a lot higher than most other diets. This is how I'll be kicking off my weight loss adventures from here on out.

A protein sparring modified fast type diet.

Just like I told NatiBoy, I'd go with the most comprehensive plan and suggest the gawd Lyle's Rapid Fatloss Handbook.

A nice lil discussion about the diet:

Cliffs from thread:

- 1g of protein per lb of LBM, coming from very low-fat sources (tuna, chicken breast, etc)
- Non-starchy vegetables (just about all of them except carrots, peas, and the obvious ones like potatoes) on a unlimited(subjective) basis
- Potassium supplement, fish oil, multi
- Workout 2x a week at the same weights and intensity you were using before, but lower the volume (sets)
- If you're below 15% BF, do this for 10 days straight, then refeed with carbs for a day
- If you're between 15-25%, do this for a couple of weeks with one cheat meal a week allowed, then refeed
- If you're above 25%, continue for 8-12 weeks, with 2 cheat meals a week and no refeeds, then take a break and start over (unless you fall below 25%)

Anyone who knows about this, let me know if I missed any major points.

But since reading the book I'll tell you that if you're <15% your protein requirement is going to be 1.5-2x lbw.

Doing this with protein shakes is a recipe for hunger pains.

You're going to have zero energy to do anything. Why don't you just eat a bit less and go harder on the cardio?

You shouldn't have to be 170 lbs to have Abs at 6'2.

6'2 170 is tiny

No need to drop any kind of weight, 6'2 and 180 is plenty light. I'd say that's on the light side already.
