Its absolute nonsense, lebron will break the all time scoring record next season God willingly, something no one will ever reach for atleast another 30 to 40 years as kareem record stood, curry has less mvps, finals mvps, rings, all nba selections, there is literally no metric you can use to justify this but this is thecoli where lebron wining a ring makes it not to count

We literally saw Curry vs Bron for countless of series.... and not a single solitary second of them playing against one another did anyone think that Curry was better than Bron

Not in 2015
Not in 2016
Not in 2017
Not in 2018

There hasn't been a single series where Curry has outplayed Lebron in the public eye. Not a single one. Curry could win 2 more chips and he wouldn't surpass LeBron, we saw them already lol. Lebron was so dominant that they gave the FMVP to a nikka who "held him" to 35/13/9

Curry won before durant, with Durant, and after durant.

It's as clear as day durant ain't what everyone thought he was. And if someone is still arguing the contrary, then listening to their NBA opinion is a waste of time.
Doesn’t change the fact he got 2 easy rings being Robin to KD’s Batman after LeBron and company took the Warriors heart coming back 3-1 and they got scared so recruited KD

We can talk about stats but that at the end of the day, it's ultimately winning is the most important part of that GOAT formula. Is Lebron a more complete player? Yes. Is lebron more athletically gifted? of course, but really...who cares if you don't dominate and impose your will on the league? Curry changed the league by playing nothing like MJ, which is a testament to how unique of a player he is. If he can secure another ring or two, he'll be looked at as the undisputed GOAT. Hell, you can make the argument now. He's been more successful in a shorter period and he still has good years left. Lebron had his time and his window appears to be closing. Lebron had to change his playstyle to compete with Curry. Curry ain't change the way he play to be more like Lebron, because he doesn't need to to beat Lebron. It's Curry's league. Lebron is chasing Curry and MJ. Curry ain't chasing no Lebron no more.

Lebron legacy is that he won't surpass MJ, but I think Curry is on track to surpass MJ as a better all-time winner.
To put things in perspective

As a player (all around)

Lebron >= Jordan >>> Curry

As a winner

Curry > Jordan >>> Lebron
Are you talking about Seth or about Steph? Can't tell from the general coherence of the argument.:jbhmm:

I assume you mean Seth though since he shot more than 4% higher from three last season than Steph and it is the best skill both players have to offer.

I don't think anyone ever thought KD was some transcendent leader, I never heard that take. But I haven't heard of Curry being that either, at times Draymond looks more like the soul of the team off the court.

Partly a degree of weakness of Durant's part, and partly because Curry's team has a system and players that can maximize that space with good positioning and ball movement. Draymond is the one ensuring that the ball whips around to the open player as much as Curry is.
I dont understand taking away from a player who happened to have a team that drafts well and makes necessary trades. Curry was drafted and stayed on his team for better and for worse. KD had a stacked team with OKC and hasn't won. His stacked team went up against Currys stacked team and gave up a 3-1 lead before he went and made Currys team even more stacked. Not taking anything away from KDs talent and what he did for the Warriors but he's the one jumping from team to team and requesting trades anytime he's not happy.

Yep

KD was up 3-1 in the WCF and blew it to curry.

Now curry averaged 31ppg against that same Celtics defense that gave Durant his worst series of all time, and his first sweep of his career.

It’s clear who needed who. Steph dominating the Celtics pretty much has the entire league looking at Durant funny.

He’s pretty much fukked up KDs legacy in one series :francis:

And Durant isn’t a bad player, but he’s not the leader Curry is, and he’s not the player curry is. He’s shown himself to be a luxury that the warriors didn’t need.
