to be honest I thought Spitta's rapping had been going downhill for a minute, my favorite era of his was the month after month mixtape series through the Pilot Talks, with Pilot Talk 2 being his peak. He's been up and down ever since then with his performances but his rapping on here is his best in a while, he's killing damn near all the tracks on here. None of the awkward flows he's been experimenting with, just straight rapping, looks like laying low for a minute served him well.
i agree that era till the creative control ended was dope as fukk for spitta
Fully agree with this- pilot talk 2 was definitely his peak lyrically. That's why I can't really fukk with covert coup- Alchemist's production is fire as always but there's too many experimental flows on there and half the time they're just off.to be honest I thought Spitta's rapping had been going downhill for a minute, my favorite era of his was the month after month mixtape series through the Pilot Talks, with Pilot Talk 2 being his peak. i wish they didn't fukk that shyt up man, i actually like alot of what they were doing with visuals and music over there
there was small time frame between then and when he dropped Stoned Immaculate that i wasn't feelin his shyt as much but it was mostly because of the production he got over for a couple projects
but this one feels like vintage spitta, real life hustle/slick raps about shyt we all go through, no exaggerations necessary
