Curly hair - le sigh

Not really a big fan of the nappy-haired look.

Are you a black man? If so, do you keep your nappy hair cut low?

I let my friend put the Organix Brazilian Keratin treatment on my hair. I have about 5, I don't know how to say, you know the how you hair groups into a single curl? I have about 5 of those that got damaged they never curled back the same. I had to cut them because it looked crazy those random strands hanging lower than the rest of my hair, they were so long. I haven't straightened my hair again since.

I know mine was heat damaged mostly though. To even do the treatment you have to go over the hair with a flat iron repeatedly. Home girl, did it excessively on the area's that my patterned was straight, or more wavy. I rarely put heat on my hair it's no point with the humidity here. I should have known I almost big chopped again. I am still thinking about it...

FYI, that afro was achieved by blowing the curls out! I have to have my hair blown out in order to achieve that 70s look, otherwise, I have ringlets and curls

Yea I know how they used to get that look my parents afre from the 70's. Plus I had long hair for a decade so I know black (not mixed) hair operate under certain conditions from experience

Ive been natural for nearly 5 years. My hair is just like the girl said in the video. Ruined. Its still wavy but theres not one damn curl in sight. I tried deep conditioning and an Aphogee treatment and nada. Not a damn thing happened. Im going back to juices and berries. 5 years down the drain.

It looks pretty, but it's so much trouble. I straighten mine cause I like being able to run my fingers through it.

Not sure what your question is getting at. Yes I am a black man and I don't like the mini-afro look on females. My hair is short (not sure what that has to do with anything).
