Man if the trends of global warming go as planned we are likely to get hit directly by a category 3 hurricane within the next 25 years. If that happens the Subways are fubar.

I saw network communication issues. Not sure exactly what it means but, trains were stuck in tunnels and trains that did make it to stations were clearing people out when they got there. @radio rahiem might know more.
the signaling system. for the 1-6 lines, it's ATS [automatic train supervision] kinda shocked how often it goes down tbh. 3 times in a little under 3 years since I've been on the numbered lines
the L & 7 uses cbtc, much more recent technology that I haven't seen fail since I've been here.
the rest of the lines uses the ancient fixed block signaling system

I didn't even know the train was down cause I like on the R/Q/N line....... What a complete fukkup to happen during a heatwave.

I bet a ton of people stay home and cause a power outage cause why go anywhere if you can't trust the trains?
