i was in europe recently for the first time.
i went to london, paris and amsterdam.
the train systems there are so much better than in the US.
i've been on the trains of nyc, chicago, philly and dc.
nyc is the city i lived in so i'll keep the comparisons to that.
i noticed that most lines had dedicated tracks.
only one train would run on a track.
trains arrived frequently, like every 3 minutes.
no ac in the cars from what i noticed in europe.
cleaner.
still don't understand how the tickets in the paris subway work.

I did a capstone about putting congestion pricing in nyc like London has. Only issue is NyC would lose the money somehow.

Government in America is incompetent from what I see. The point of congestion pricing would be to direct all the money to fixing the MTA and also reducing some of the toll bridges since all the bridges would have one.
The Queens midtown tunnel cost 8.50 both ways yet it is congested as hell.

I've only taken it from the wtc to Jersey City a handful of times
Service is very spotty especially on the weekend, now with more people moving to JC and Newark, congestion in the morning has been the issue. Biggest problem is they don’t run enough trains during rush hour and weekends and been slow as hell process replacing train traffic system causing delays at inopportunate times.
