I never understood why the state made ESA and the LIRR third track a priority over fixing the subway. They think people gonna walk when leaving Penn and GCT :heh: The 4,5,6 is already at capacity and shyt be having me want to fight someone everyday (I go to Hunter).

this shyt is a joke. no amount of 'emergency' is going to save this. it's just going to get much worse before it gets close to getting better.

This was something they did years back that fell through. I appreciate Byford for atleast trying things

Yeah, I vaguely remember. I feel like even 6 or 7 years ago some station still had it?

I also saw a photo on instagram a night or two ago of the station manager and a lot of them were minorities so that was also nice to see as well if nothing else.

They need to do something about how hot it is on the platforms. If you're not at an outdoor station, the platform is 120 degrees. I'm tired of showing up to places sweating :francis:

"The staggering investment promises to bring two new international terminal complexes to the airport, along with state-of-the-art security, digital signage, world-class passenger amenities, and improved roadways on the Van Wyck Expressway (a driving experience that Cuomo likened to "splinters under my fingernails.") AirTrain capacity is projected to increase by 50 percent, though the dream of a one-seat ride from Manhattan—floated as a possibility when the overhaul was announced, at $10 billion, last year—appears to be dead.

Critics have also questioned why the plan does not include a new runway, which planners say will be essential to meet the rising demand expected in the coming years. The number of passengers served by JFK increased by 23 percent in the last decade, according to the Port Authority, which operates the airport. The airport consistently ranks among the worst in the country for on-time rates, with more than a quarter of flights arriving late, and just 77.7 percent of flights departing on time.
"

I didn't even have to read the article to know Cuomo was about to slap on some LED lights and put in some USB ports and call it a day.
