A portion of the reasoning is with the antique signals in the IRT, IND/BMT (minus the L) trains system is too many trains during rush hour. How many times have I sat behind a 4 train traveling up and down the Lexington Ave line. My opinion is to extend the tracks past the terminals, so the trains can get in and turned around quickly.

No fukks given by MTA :heh: and Cuomo has to have some ownership in an LED company.
The original plan had allotted $28 million per station for upgrades like LED lighting, improved station signage, new stairs, and upgraded electrical and communications systems.

The current average cost to upgrade each station, the Wall Street Journal reports, is $43 million.

Lhota says he became aware of the cost overruns last year, but decided not to mention it to the board. “I didn’t think it was relevant to the debate,” he told the Journal.
