Not all black women. Some black women were raised to feel like their natural hair was ugly. Some black women wear it to switch up on hairstyles while others use it for a protective style. There are black women that can't even get jobs because their hair is seen as unprofessional so they wear a weave instead. Black women wear it for various reasons.
:mjlol::laff:

Natural hair can get damaged if you manipulate it a lot. When you wear a weave your hair underneath is braided up and is protected. Go to youtube or Google and look up "weave protective style". Their are women that swears by it and says weave saved their hair from becoming damaged.
every girl i grew up with that wore weave is bald-headed today, protect my ass

First black music, then black women's bodies, now black hair...all three of these things the mainstream considered them ugly or not up to par...until white people do it:mjlol:

Same magazine pushing the fro wouldn't even use a black woman in it, instead uses a white woman.

If you don't see what's going on here, then :yeshrug:

I don't see it breh :dwillhuh:

-waits for someone to say weaves and permed hair are culture appropriation- :francis:

And in a way. Weave can be for protective styling. Say for instance i want to dye my hair a certain color every month (I dont but im rhetorically speaking). If i were to do that to my real hair? Id be looking like Britney spears in 2007. Now there is however. Moderation to weaves and hair in general. there are ways to take care of real hair underneath. bur most women make the mistake of not caring for their hair underneath while also caring for the weave as well. Or they care for their weave but not for their hair.

I would elaborate more on this but im on my phone and i have little patience of typing paragraphs.

white people troll witht his shyt and BW bite the hook every time. i agree with you on the asian stuff as well. only thing i would is BW need to monetize the appropriation. black hair stylist should have ads up tomorrow on giving white women afros and cornrows

BINGO. I honestly wouldn't mind the whole "culture vulture" movement (but its still fxckin weird :what:), IF we were making money off of it. The second we realize that CACs envy something about us or are willing to spend money on something from our culture, WE have to jump on it and sell it to them or whoever.. This doesnt really happen enough with us. ( i know it's not easy)

Did you know that they have international twerk competitions? :birdman:Like for real. All cac judges and all cac contestants. The "#1 Twerker in the World" is a PAWG who makes 6 figures off dancing like shes in a Houston booty club. When we first did it (bootydancing? mapuoka?) for fun it was viewed as "trashy" or "ghetto" and "degrading" (like everything we created in the U.S). Now its looked at worldwide as just another dance like belly-dancing or hula dancing, after cacs capitalized and re-marketed it (spandex instead of thongs/panties, sponsored competitions. etc.) and sold it.

Hip hop was only for ghetto black thugs 25 years ago. Now every Cac suburbs has a dance studio where a middle-aged former 2 Live Crew PAWG groupie teaches "hip hop" dance classes to little cacs. The same is going to happen with this whole "twerking craze" and its gonna be sold as the american version of belly dancing or some bullshyt. "Twerk studios" run by the same PAWGS who competed and retired from the "Pro Twerk Circuit".:comeon:Coming to a suburbs near you:shaq:

Now, as completely outrageous as all that sounds, I wouldn't even be that mad if somehow BW would find a way to see that money that cacs would be spending just to learn how to booty pop on a handstand. BW should have PAWgs lined up in their salon's getting $$$$$$ off their desire to have.....well... Afros?....:francis:. We all know they have a weird fascination with us. Why not make some dough off of it?

so BW have made a trillion dollar industry out of weave, not because of eurocentric beauty standards, but because indian/asian beauty standards that are not even promoted in media?

who are you fooling, chick? if y'all didn't have the option to buy indian/asian hair, would BW go natural or purchase hair from russians?

my mothers dead and you know that :what: it's weird how you get some type of pleasure out of being so disrespectful. i often forget how yall pretend to care about black women, when the first person y'all will attack is a black woman.

i've ignored this chick for over a year, but she's obsessed with fukking with me

No I didn't know your mother was dead. You've never told me that nor have I ever seen you post that. I would NEVER do anything like that to get to/torment someone. This whole time I've wondered why in the hell you got so mad when I called her a beastie. I apologize.

But related to the topic, NO ONE wants white girl hair. We can agree to disagree because you aren't convincing me.

You quoted ME first a$$hole. I haven't tried to interact with you since you threatened to kill me.

Black women please stop lying to yourself with this excuse. Straightened hair, weaves, perms, lace fronts, and anything else that makes black women's hair look European is wrong. It's us carrying over a legacy of black inferiority.

A weave on a black woman is just as bad as a white Jesus in a black church.
