I know about Eritrea, but I havent heard of something like that happening with Ethiopia. But either way as a Westerner I wouldn't support sanctions either way since the West is too guilty of certain things. What I am just trying to say is NK is definitely not innocent.

Its not a matter of "innocence"

No government is innocent but when you collude with other countries to sanction a country economically, the politicians are still going to eat but its going to be the common man who suffers at the hands of such backwardness. Then people want to conclude that its the political ideologies of these countries causing the poverty and not the bullshyt from these Western countries purposeful causing it.

True. Obama has opened up dialogue and eased relations with Cuba. There is still a lot to be done. But speaking strictly from Medical standpoint, its a network good ole boys like system. Unless you want to work for the undeserved communities for life, no institution will recognize that degree. They still think these Caribbean medical schools are uncredited dumps for people to cheap to get into a "regular" school. You will never get hired over someone who went to school here. And fukk the BS, the whole point of going through the hell that is medical school it to make money.

For someone who actually went through medical school this is the case. When I was initially applying I looked at these schools and was warned to not waste my time if you cant get in a school in the states then shift your focus. A lot of the degrees are not transferable in the states and/or the board gives you a hard time acquiring hours in order to take the exam. I have several of uncles and aunts who came from Nigeria and went to these schools who are driving cabs. I dont know much of this Cuban school so I cannot comment about how the US will take the curriculum seriously

Like someone mentioned there are good schools across the coast that are extremely competitive and graduate some of the smartest doctors I know and there are others that are more than often deplorable and for-profit and their graduate bare the burden.

True but I think if you went to med school for free then you aren't as hard up for cash as someone who went to med school that paid for it.

IMO Angola has to one of the most successful countries in modern times to thwart Western influence and totally come out good unlike some of the countries listed.
