Is it worth it though? I've wasted money on crazy stuff before and I don't want to pay $30 for a bottle of sauce that tastes like Frank's

Nah it's definitely worth buying...it has spicy kick with a light semi-sweet tangy twist and it's on the creamy (yet cool) side of things...you can taste the truffle
