This is a hard one, dude had a right to pick his son up, baby moms was playing games. But ultimately he was told that his son was not there and was asked to leave but wanted to stay and argue. Kyle shouldn't have went and got the gun, but it's Texas and dude tried to grab the gun after making it clear what he would have done if he took it.

Like a dude could pull a gun on you to make you "react", then you punch him and then he shoots and claims self defense. Dude wasn't going to shoot you initially but he just pulled his gun out without making his intentions clear.

Feel like we need to raise the bar on how/when people can use their guns. Right now, we give armed people more leeway than unarmed people.

OK so we going into different scenarios with unarmed people. Your scenario is obviously different and is very likely a home robbery. Common sense laws should allow you to blast those types.

Guns have their purpose but most people use it as a first line of defense instead of a last line. Dude could have easily called the cops but he wanted to "do something." White on white....this could go either way since neither dude is marching in a BLM protest.
