Its not just about voting republican, Im talking about being able as a community to freely go from being from just relying on democrats, to us being republican or independent if Democrats won't put us first. We shouldn't let either parties believe they can own our votes.

Takei isn't the democratic party, but he's perfectly illustrative of the attitude of the democratic party... which is that blacks are useful flunkies and you don't have to actually deliver. You just have to wave around a republican boogieman, bust some dance moves, tell them about your weed smoking past and tell them to get in line and the vote is theirs. I'm sure you don't see a problem with Chelsea Handler talking down on 50, telling him "You're black, get back in line and I may reward you with sex". Whites, Asians and Latinos essentially coming in, defining blackness and telling negroes to get in line isn't offensive as long as it's done by the Democrats.

Bottom line is, you don't 'trust' Trump, nor do you trust Biden. You talk to BOTH parties, play them against each other and the one that delivers is the one that gets the vote. I don't know why that's so hard. Trump tried to get Netayahu to talk down against the Democrats and he avoided it despite Trump tap dancing for him. That's because Netayahu will get those checks no matter which side gets in office. We don't owe our votes to the Democrats, who have been no more of an ally in recent history than Republicans. I remember hearing Obama was finally going to do something for blacks when he got his second term, and then that got extended until he got out of office because you know he was playing chess and had to tip toe around white people, and now that he's out, he disappears off into the sunset.

Nah, Democrats aren't your friend and neither are republicans. Cube is doing the right thing which is NEGOTIATING. If Trump renegs, then he goes back to the Democrats or if Trump offers him something, he takes that offer to the Democrats and see if they will do better.
