The more you pay it down the less interest you accure
I don’t currently pay interest.

Your statement balance will be your “full” payment for the previous month

If you current balance is higher than your statement balance that means you doesn’t more after your statement closed for the month.

Ex: my closing date is the 23rd and my balance is $100

But I keep using my card for $100 more through the 31st.

On the 1st of the month I’ll get a statement that says my statement balance is $100, but my current balance is $200..

If you always pay your statement balance you won’t get charged interest
Yeah this currently what I do. I thought cats were just paying off their entire account, at the time a payment is due

I just keep my spending as normal on credits and just automate the statements.
I don’t have that ability and I’m ok with that Lol. Like if I buy bulk snacks, I’m going to eat snacks in bulk. If I have a credit card, next thing you know I charged a pony because it was on sale.

Save me from myself.

The points alone on my Amex just me a brand new washer/dryer set. Don’t swipe my debit for shyt now.
It took me a long time to realize this but all of those extras I get from using the credit cards make it more reasonable instead of using a debit card. Basically I just carry a couple of my cards food/gas/grocery/travel.

Now I only use credit cards or outright cash but generally I take advantage of all of the mileage, cash back, extra points that I get from my cards.

The one downfall is that I am now going to have to actually pay my Amex fees but I’m going to see if I can get by being a vet for one more year. Or at least say I’m disappointed so that I can get another promo deal with amex.

I want a chase card but I’m never down to just 4-5 credit inquiries. So I will need to garden for a while.
