I watched it today, it's a very typical (safe) romcom that mostly deserves its existence because of it being based around the idea of a stupidly rich family throwing a wedding, which generates some good laughs from the side characters. The main plot is as cliché as they come (although it has some nice moments) but the most baffling is the (mirror) subplot of the sexy, rich and caring sister who is in relationship problems because her start-up husband feels emasculated with her being the provider. If that ain't a first world problem, I don't know what is.

I don't feel this will be the big breakthrough for all-Asian Hollywood movies like some folks are acting, but it could serve as a decent stepping stone into that direction, and at the least will let studios know that movie audiences do care about seeing Asian people who aren't a white person's sidekick or villain.

Movie was worth watching. The first 10 minutes are the most powerful. Arrogant racist white hotel worker refused to give the family a room in the hotel despite them already having booked it. It's then revealed that the Asian family has bought the hotel and the worker is now forced to work for the same people he refused service. Economic empowerment.
