"Flava In Ya Ear" and it's Remix had some serious impact and indirectly helped the Careers of Biggie, Busta and LL. At that time, LL was coming off "14 Shots to the Dome" LP which was considered one of his weaker LP's at the time. It commercially under performed as well after coming off of the Hit LP "Momma Said Knock You Out". After "Flava", LL was able to transition into one of the most successful albums of his career with "Mr. Smith". He was in the game for 10 Years at that point so the song helped him to gain a new generation of fans. Busta was basically coming out as a Solo Artist after killing it on the Tribe "Scenario" record with his former group Leaders of the New School. After "Flava", Busta would continue to wreak features and release his Platinum Selling Debut "The Coming" in 96.
And after several features, "Flava" Became Biggie's coming out party before "Ready To Die" Blew. After he appeared on that remix it was uphill the rest of the way. Not to mention, the success of the song again set off the Bad Boy Era after Puff left Uptown with Biggie. Shoot even Rampage eventually released a Solo LP and had some fire with "Wild for the Night". Craig's 2nd LP "Operation Getdown" dropped in Summer of 1997 during the Bad Boy Explosion but he wasn't on the label at that point. Eric B actually oversaw the album as Executive Producer and it had bangers, I remember bumping it back then. Outside of a few features he pretty much stopped rapping but he was working on projects. He just dropped an independent LP last year but Craig place in History is there which is why his music was in "Notorious" and "Straight Outta Compton" Films. The song has also appeared in other films and commercials.
