he meant they were more appealing AFTER HE GOT THE PIECES HE WANTED the only way the clippers trade happened was after the pieces were in place....not before. The clippers still had their old players even while the Lakers trade got nixed, which meant Cp3 didnt have a team period, and Didnt want to go to NO....
