300 murders a year
They spent the last 15 years trying to clean up what they considered a bad image because in their minds a more youthful hip hop'ish braided and doo rag'd looking league was intimidating to their white season ticket holders and bad for business.

Cowherd lame ass spent most of the time during this period championing the nba taking these actions to rid the league of Allen Iverson types.

Ya'll made your squeaky clean good lil safe nikka bed, now lay in it......

NO
:russell: This is what the NBA is now. No personality. Its too bland. The NBA is oversatuated. We need more JR Ryders, Ron Artests, Allen Iversons and Rasheed Wallaces. People who actually had personalities who (cacs) hated. They brought ratings. They has swag. They played the game with heart and passion. But resl talk I thought Lebron was the villian when he bolted to Miami. Didnt they burned his jerseys and called him all types of slurs? :mjpls:

And he went back their? What type of spineless fukkboi shyt is this? :what:

Apathy is worse than being hated in regards to sports marketing. Ask Andre Ward.

Real problem is lack of parity imo. No bullshyt storyline can cover up the fact that everyone realizes by now that barring a major injury only 3, maybe 4 teams have any chance of winning. As such, regular season kinda loses meaning with a lot of casual fans unless some records are being broken.
that's how it is for every sport

What's the benefit to the player of being a villain
Thats the problem. Everyone looking out for their benefit but shyt being a villain gets everyone paid and keeps things interesting. Say what you want but people come out and show up to see the villain fail. No one is watching this snoozefest of an NBA season at least most of my friends dont and they are fans. Its just too boring. Warriors are amazing but watching it gets boring after a while and their only real opponent is the Spurs which is equivalent of watching paint dry. Its way too many teams in the NBA now IMO. They need to ax a good 4-5 teams to make this shyt good again b/c some cities don't even deserve teams and aint bringing shyt to the table. Man shyt just aint the same. WHenever I do watch games I don't even know who most of the guys playing are. This shyt might as well be D-League half the time.
