Thats the problem. Everyone looking out for their benefit but shyt being a villain gets everyone paid and keeps things interesting. Say what you want but people come out and show up to see the villain fail. No one is watching this snoozefest of an NBA season at least most of my friends dont and they are fans. Its just too boring. Warriors are amazing but watching it gets boring after a while and their only real opponent is the Spurs which is equivalent of watching paint dry. Its way too many teams in the NBA now IMO. They need to ax a good 4-5 teams to make this shyt good again b/c some cities don't even deserve teams and aint bringing shyt to the table. Man shyt just aint the same. WHenever I do watch games I don't even know who most of the guys playing are. This shyt might as well be D-League half the time.

The regular season is for season ticket holders and die hards. You'll watch in the playoffs and you'll know all the players.

I hate to break it to you but the Lakers were never villains to the league except in Boston. Their fans always took over arenas on the road.
