I think a lot of people find it boring because they can't appreciate or don't catch the small stuff in fights. You have to be pretty knowledgeable to catch that stuff and even then dudes who do catch it aren't entertained by it. It's an acquired taste.

meanwhile we see a guy who has been hit with so many jabs up top and downstairs that he is falling for every feint, we see ring generalship and even then it can still be boring to some and I get that but I like this type of stuff. It's the same reason I rewatched Floyd/Maidana 1& 2 and caught some stuff that I didn't the first time, especially in the 2nd fight which many felt was boring.
I think it boils down to Americans not appreciating little details, it's why Soccer just doesn't catch on in the states. You go on Boxing forums after a Mayweather fight and there's a bunch of British white dudes saying he put on a "master class", while white dudes in the states just want to see Knockouts.
