I think a lot of people find it boring because they can't appreciate or don't catch the small stuff in fights. You have to be pretty knowledgeable to catch that stuff and even then dudes who do catch it aren't entertained by it. It's an acquired taste.

meanwhile we see a guy who has been hit with so many jabs up top and downstairs that he is falling for every feint, we see ring generalship and even then it can still be boring to some and I get that but I like this type of stuff. It's the same reason I rewatched Floyd/Maidana 1& 2 and caught some stuff that I didn't the first time, especially in the 2nd fight which many felt was boring.

Age has nothing to do with if a fight is boring. You can't say a fight is boring if the fighters are 25 but the same fight isn't boring if the fighter is 38.
young guys don't fight like old guys, do you know anything about sports, have you even heard of mayweather besides the pass 5 years
casuals don't watch fights for the action they watch them for the names
it was a great fight on the undercard but none of these fools even mention it becasue they didn't watch it

See this is the problem, you are talking about the fight from the viewpoint of a legit boxing fan. To you the art of boxing isnt boring. Unfortunately for you the overwhelming majority of the people who watch these big PPV fights are not real boxing fans, they are casuals and casuals dont want to see boxing they want to see a brawl. A casual is not going to watch a boxing match and take into account the age of the boxer in determining if the fight was boring or not. For you the fact that Floyd can still fight at the level he is currently at his age is amazing and seeing that display is entertaining, again.....a casual does not care about that.
For the record i never stated that I thought Mayweather was boring, i said that this isnt the first time someone said his fights were boring.
I'm not talking about you or people who watch boxing on the regular

This is it on the head. To casuals, who largely only pay attention to publicized fights, Mayweather is boring. They want aggressiveness and action. They don't care, know, or respect the sweet science. It is why Guerrero can get away with saying Mayweather ran and was chicken and casuals and mainstream media believe it. They will say Guerrero or Maidana are better fighter's then watch them get schooled and then say Mayweather didn't do anything. Personally why I felt people said Pacquiao would beat Mayweather. As boxing fans we need casuals to help ratings and get fighters purses so boxing stays economically healthy and it gets promoted more mainstream. We just can't get in discussions with them or take anything they say seriously because it is pointless.
