yeah we were at a All inclusive ( Royalton ) in Punta Cana
got there mid week- Started seeing employees with hazmat suits on on the other side of the building we were in Saturday .

i should have known this was a bad idea because the walkways had had sanded sea shells in the pattern and anybody that had trypophobia (fear of clustered holes) was freaking out
People were walking behind the buildings to get where they had to go. My wife damn near fell a few time because she refused to look down while walking.

then we started noticing less people out and about , then they asked would we volunteer for a covid test
We were like fine , The wife and i tested negative every time

By Monday 2 in our group tested positive
Tuesday one more , but we were leaving that day and had tested negative.
Wednesday , One more
And one more this morning, but they were home already

3 are still stuck there in quarantine for like 10 days or until they test negative. only one has symptoms so far and thats a runny nose, still sucks they get stuck in one room, for all that time
the others tested negative before leaving and tested positive at home.

By the time we took our final test , we were like this : :russ:

thats my fear with travelling now, testing positive and then my vacation getting extended until im negative while racking up a big azz hotel bill

Its coming from more and more people are getting it and it's not as severe. That's where...
That's how pandemics end.

"Not as severe" is very relative. We are still early in this wave and the hospital tracking seems relative to Delta. Also surviving Covid isn't the same for everyone. So who decides when Covid is an acceptable risk for the masses?

Scientific data. You know, science? :skip: Or is that shyt only important when it fits your personal pandemic narrative? I swear it's like you all want this shyt to last forever. You all are some true weirdos. Eventually I'm going to unpin this thread and throw it in the bushes so you doomers can gather and circle jerk there.

Again neither "immunity" has been shown to last so that science are you referencing? And I was responding to your super immunity claim.

how does this make any sense to do this now when omicron is literally spreading like a wildfire?

I think it's a remnant from the balpha variant days when symptomatic onset took about 7 days. It went down to about 4 days with Delta and now it's about 2-3 days with omicron.

.
who decides? Each person decides for themselves. Who else should be deciding? There’s vaccines readily available. You choose what risk you are willing to accept and life goes on. You waiting for some Covid authority to wave a flag and send smoke signals into the air when Covid is over? You are responsible for your own choices. Stay home. Go out. Get vaxxed. Don’t get vaxxed. Wear masks. Don’t wear masks. Who else should decide that? It never will be the same for everyone. Just like everything else in life. You zero Covid people just keep moving the goalposts to shyt that will never be reality in an effort to stay hunkered down by yourself. If you’re scared shytless of your own shadow, stay home. No one else cares what you do. If vaccinations, boosters, improved therapeutics, masks etc aren’t enough for you, stay home. Those measures are enough for most people to continue to live their lives comfortably assuming the risk that comes along with that

Shelves need to be stocked
Nurses need to nurse
EMTs need to get people to the hospital

Omicron is spreading so fast that it could lead to critical worker shortages by simply causing everyone to being out sick. This is fundamentally why quarintine guidelines were shortened.

Waited in line OUTSIDE in 39 degree weather for 3 hours today to get tested

We were PISSED

It was the only testing family that didn’t require an appointment in my county. All the other places had no appointments for a week.

Every town should have a vacant parking lot for drive up testing 24/7.

Just telling u how pandemics end in history and real life. Also hospitals are but cases are WAY up. So it is hopefully trending in right direction. Don't like being negative tho so do u
