OSHA suspends Biden administration COVID vaccine enforcement

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration Wednesday suspended implementation and enforcement of the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for private employers after a federal court blocked the measure.

The OSHA website page dedicated to the COVID Vaccine Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) states: “While OSHA remains confident in its authority to protect workers in emergencies, OSHA has suspended activities related to the implementation and enforcement of the ETS pending future developments in the litigation.”

On November 12, 2021, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit granted a motion to stay OSHA’s COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard, published on November 5, 2021 (86 Fed. Reg. 61402)

Common sense should told people from the beginning that OSHA didn't have the manpower or resources to actually enforce the vaccine mandate. It's a reason why businesses aren't afraid of OSHA and are perfectly willing to defy their orders as the fines are paltry and a slap on the wrist.

How are you going to have less than 1,000 employees be able to enforce a rule for over 100,000 private companies with over 100 employees? Even if Trump never stripped away resources away from OSHA, it was still going to be a massive undertaking that they just wouldn't be equipped to handle.

Even OSHA more than likely had the when Biden put the onus on them to help enforce the mandate.

i got hired at a factory recently loading and unloading.
i've driven a forklift before so it's whatever.
i get in and nobody is masked up. it's a 8 man crew at any given time.
so i'm there for 3 days and i noticed that most of the other dudes are coughing allot.
none of them are vaxed either, pure maga.

day six, half the crew calls out.
day seven i get to work and nobody is there which is strange, usually i'm 15 min early and the manager is already there.
i have the code to get in so i do and get to work moving shyt around. trucks start dropping shyt off and picking shyt up but nobody on the phones.
nobody moving the shyt i offload either so i wind up barricading myself around the receiving dock.

called my manager after lunch and his wife picked up...she told me that he was in the ICU with "a bad flu" and that some other guys on both shifts are sick as well.
i ask her what i should do and she got pissed.
"My husband is in the hospital and you ask me about shipments? fukk you!"
annnnnnnnnd she hangs up on me.

i spent the next 3 days driving a forklift around, taking whatever shipments i could and turning away anyone who came to pick shyt up.
i don't know where that shyt is, breh...sry, not sry.

mad downtime as well, untill...corporate shows up in person.
i give them the breakdown and they walk away.
tell me i'm fired and the place is shut down.

shyt is crazy.

Even if/when the mandate is approved in their favor, they still don't have the manpower or resources to actually enforce it.
