For everyone looking at India like :picard: that was just a few months ago, and a few months before that, and a few months before that. Now that we've beaten it back and it looks like a third world problem many Americans watch with detached interest, just another problem of the "poor brown people" to be gawked at and turned into discussion fodder.

Supposedly the biggest health crisis of modern times is allowed to waltz into India post vaccine and tear shyt up. But, even then, ultimately they are doing better during their surge than we did. We had about 5k deaths per day at 250k new infections. They are averaging 4k deaths per day at about 400k new infections.

Still it shouldn't have gotten to this point. Reminds me of California where no one prepared during the lull in cases then were caught with their pants down and bent over when the surge hit. America and the west love to intervene, why no mass shipments of vaccine to India? Seems like this could have been avoided.

A decent chunk of America didn't give a fukk during the numbers you're talking about here....why would they care about similar/worse numbers way in India?

Not saying it's right but :yeshrug: I'm not sure what you were expecting.

Fred.
