This virus isn't going anywhere any time soon, and the main reason is because these states are being negligent. Reopening at the expense of human life is stupid. People acting like if they treat it like it doesn't exist, then they'll be fine. Lol. That's like acting like you don't owe your power bill if you never open your mail.

nikkas complaining about doing the bare minimum (wearing masks and social distancing). Nobody saying you gotta stay in the crib 24/7 but at least move smart when you outside. smh. nikkas moving around like shyt is normal. It's not.

I'ma have to use this one :pachaha:

This is America. Most entitled people of all time. Like you said, we’ve been in a lightweight lockdown with all kinds of technology to stay connected and people are losing their minds. Gathering on purpose, not wearing masks out of spite. A mask that could save millions that you have to wear for like 1/5 of your day has become a political issue. Society is a big joke right now

honestly they shouldve said we needed masks from the jump. they even said its not necessary. as soon as they said that i went and bought some becuase i knew they were trippin.

honestly covid in my mind has taken the back seat because ive been doing things right personally. but now that i see people in other states are paying the price for being so ignorant towrds a fukking virus and im starting to see more people coming out and mingling without masks here in pgh. im back on my you guys are fukking idiots bs.

if these poeple want to be in packed bars (even at 50% thats alot of people especially bar/club combo) the least you can do is wear a mask. i made a trip through the south side of pittsburgh where pretty much every bar and every club here is and on a thursday night i saw lines down the street to these shyt holes and no mask in sight. I stand by my thought that our outbreak here stemed from st patricks day. while it wasnt as busy people were OUT then and shortly after we shutdown but the cases began to rise.

people have been partying for memorial day. been back at bars gyms hair saloons some people masked others arent even though its required. some people (my cousins) are going across borders to go out wiht masks in ohio. then come back and work at the bars and clubs. if this makes it back thru 4th of july without a shutdown i forsee a huge spike in places that had issues in the first place. maybe im worrying too much. but ive been keepin my eye on folks and how they are manuevering and also what theyve been saying. and it seems theyd rather be at risk than have things shut down but at the same time the feel a mask might be too much.

My region is opening back up. I'm glad that I have a little more freedom to go places. Even I was on that "I gotta get out of the house" bs and I want to go into the city or get in the gym. But I know that people are going to absolutely lose their minds around July 4th and make up for all the holidays/celebrations missed. Parties and gatherings will be at 100, and its getting hot (and humid), those masks aren't staying on. So I'll still be limiting my exposure.

The mask lies, yes the lies, at the beginning of this was a horrible thing because now conspiracy theorists who don't want to wear mask have ammo.

Fauci basically admitted that they lied about the effectiveness of masks because they knew the stock was so low that they weren't even sure they could provide enough for just healthcare workers. Remember when this first started, nurses and doctors were saying they were using the most shytty PPE and doing all sorts of weird shyt for PPE? There was even a doctor who said they received New York Yankees poncho as PPE. This is probably because we seriously didn't even have enough PPE to go around.

Now you notice you can find hand sanitizer and masks basically everywhere now? Then after the supplies were there now they are mandating people to wear masks.

Our government straight up lied including health professionals who many viewed as trustworthy. If they were just straight up honest that they have to reserve them for medical professionals first then I think most people can handle that but they decided to be dishonest and now the time when trust is needed, its not there as much as it should.

The death rate is dropping a lot which is good

not sure if it’s because the virus is getting weaker or that more younger people are getting it

Not trying to be a negative nancy, but until about 2 weeks ago, new daily cases were dropping too which makes sense that the death rate would follow. Death is a lagging indicator. Deaths can reflect new cases from 2 weeks to a month or more ago. So as new cases decrease, deaths will surely but slowly decrease.

However, as of a week or so ago, new cases have skyrocketed. Sorry to sound morbid, but it takes time to die from this virus. So, its not a crazy thing to guess that since this past week new cases have skyrocketed, over the next few weeks you'll see the deaths start to climb too as some of those new cases because new deaths.

But, like you said, on the flip side, maybe there will be some dampening of it because there is a large percentage of the sick that are young. However, hospitalizations and ICUs are filling up which does not bode well for the future. That means people who are getting positive cases are increasing the sick enough to be hospitalized count.

Still no sense of smell or taste which makes me not have an appetite because everything either tastes bland or salty.

Still waiting for my results but I already know I'm positive. Texas has so many cases the labs can't get the results back fast enough. Fatigue, cough, sore throat and headaches are my main symptoms right now, but they're all slowly trailing off. I'm feeling a little better today. Hopefully this is the start of the end of this shyt.
