Meat plants are notoriously filthy and unsanitary in the best of times. Flies everywhere. Dust and filth blowing everywhere. The occasional rotting carcass dumped alongside the building getting a nice tan in the Midwest sun.

Before Trump ordered the meat plants to continue operating despite the threat multiple were shut down due to hundreds of infections. Just imagine what you diseases you would find there if we were looking for more than COVID. Just like nursing homes, meat plants being COVID hotspots should be a red flag that there's a fundamental issue with these places that allowed the virus to thrive in these environments.

The slaughterhouse in the article is refrigerated. That is why they think the virus managed to infect so many. I'm guessing that there aren't many flies there. They said it is because people work closely together but from the numbers it looks like most people working there got infected and are currently infected so we are talking about a relatively short space of time.

It's Germany and rules are very strict, until they collude to ignore them that is. But that's another story altogether.

Well I doubt they would have publicized this at all if there were actually a significant number of deaths that would need removal. Making it public knowledge invites skeptical people to investigate so it would be foolish to lie about the number of deaths they'd need to remove.

I truly don’t see these southern states shutting down. I think they’re too stubborn. I’m supposed to go to myrtle beach to my girls family condo. Idk if I’m gonna do that in July! Plus I’m driving and surely will need to stop multiple times
