The one in mission viejo where I work just opened up out the blue last Friday and haven’t really announced their safety procedures. I guess you find out when you get there I won’t be back til Friday. I know there’s not a mask ordinance and the gym is already a breeding ground for pathogens without the Rona. Most of my clients aren’t coming back right away but the pt managers wants our schedule set out 2 weeks in advance. For what? Not like we get paid for that whole duration. If I set my schedule for 6am-2 and only 6 ppl show I only get $45. Only if someone cancels or shows up. It’s a shyt organization. They pay trainers technically more qualified than me the same and i consider myself pretty damn competent for the job

Ehh in NYC deaths and hospitalizations have been going down for awhile now. Nobodies died in like a week in a city of 8 and a half million.

I think they’ve faced the worst and gotten through it. Took tons of deaths but I think there on to the other side now.

That’s just NYC. We are looking at the rest of the country, especially these hotspots that are blowing up right now

Also, NYC is nowhere close to herd immunity like you’re speculating. Social distancing measures have kept numbers in check.

Bruh, herd immunity is higher than 60% though. Long way before 60-80% of the population is in infected

we're telling her to get out of there because the hospital she's at has had patients that never come out.

its a small sample but how do you know if it’s more or less then that?

Who knows. All I know is Nyc deaths have dropped drastically I think we’re past the worst of this. Let’s hope so

However long. I mean I know there's obvious differences, one mentioned earlier in the thread being they don't gene edit themselves and that's why the mutations are so nasty, but as long as a virus has bodies to live off it's still perpetuating itself. You know?

I've talked with a biologist/ chemist friend about the difference between dead and living matter and he's the one that told me viruses are in a weird liminal state. They're neither. It's weird. I've been interested in this concept for a while.

I'm a low key animist that believes every atom in the universe is alive so I'm a little biased.
