Most people that live in Manhattan have jobs where they can work from home. It's the richest burrough. The second this became a threat, they just stayed at home posted up on their laptop.

People with lower income jobs that take public transportation/ can't work from home/ worked in close proximity with others were the most exposed and therefore the primary vectors of spread.

Nobody that works in a meat packing plant lives in Manhattan, but the "density" at their job, shoulder to shoulder chopping pigs, is the main reason those plants are giant hotspots. Same with jails.

When you see shyt like this or "black people 3 times more likely to get infected", they're purposely misleading headlines meant to make people think there's "something else" going on. No. The shyt spreads through bodily droplets. The more droplets flowing the more likely you are to get infected. There's nothing else to it. Exposure is purely socio- economic-- rich people have always distanced themselves in one way or another.

Trump's vaccine chief also happens to have $10 million in options in Moderna. He's going to make $10s of millions in profit by pushing Moderna, hopefully not at the expense of the world's health.

The overall deaths are trending downward VERY SLOWLY. We went from about 25k deaths per 10 days to 15k. We've hit a plateau it looks like we'll be at for some time but it's not like we're seeing growth every 10 days such as before. Hopefully the trend will continue.

even the studies that you are more prone to get it social distancing then being outside is kinda misleading and is about class and money

I’d guess that most people that got it from social distancing lived in tight quarters in urban areas where even if they’re not going out to work there still touching doors and elevators in apartment buildings that hundreds of people A day are touching and that’s how they got it.

I’d guess people social distancing from more suburban areas have a much smaller rate of getting covid.

It's mostly Black people dying from this now. Nobody cares anymore. Alez Azar was on CNN last night saying that the virus is deadly here because of people with obesity, diabetes and HTN. Who leads in all those categories? Black people.

So, all those black kids you see out there "getting lit" are all basically sacrificing their fam unknowingly
