Cuomo going off the cdc guidelines to reopen that says hospitalizations would have to decline for 14 days...I’m pretty sure were at like 4 or 5 days...so I’m assuming in 2 weeks we slowly reopen some shyt

Good question. I honestly don't know. I assume most are in hospital or self-quarantine and waiting to retest to make sure they are clear.

I'm probably going to research it myself out of curiosity. What is considered "recovered"? Is that someone who tested positive and then test negative on a second test after a certain amount of time?

Edit: So, just going on how worldometer is breaking out the numbers, if you look at their world view, not just the US, they specify who is "mild" and who is serious or critical. See here

So, I'm assuming with the US data a certain amount of them are as stated, just mild and in probably self-quarantine and then the other percentage is in the critical or serious state.

Protests in Germany

As an American one of the things that always stood out to me the most about Germany was how police operate there. It was like they were reluctant to use force unless they absolutely had to. Extremely chill overall. Even when they did need to arrest someone they just walk side by side with the person like they just having a conversation

Berlin police were a little more but most other cities they didn't really stress like that.

Even the honor system with paying your fare for the subway right on the platform with no one checking instead of before a gate like most places here. No way that would ever work here

Dr. Birx saying social distancing going to last through the summer, don't that mean basically that sports and concerts is done?

A lot of shyt is done because even when things open back up, social distancing means it's a wrap on any large social gatherings.

Summer concerts, festivals, etc. are done. If sports are played it probably won't be in front of any live spectators.

Restaurants are going to be struggling bad. To do social distancing they're only gonna be able to operate with probably half the amount of tables, then when you go into the restaurant you probably have to have your temperature checked, you still have to wear masks, the whole social experience gonna be trash compared to what it was.

I'm out in half moon bay, CA right now, and the beaches are brackin. I can't really criticize Georgia or Florida with the way it's looking out here. Lots of people without ppe on either


I still think it's irresponsible of those state's governors pushing to open up without encouraging people to take protective measures though.

Yeah, this seems like what most countries are going to follow. It's not going to go away, but if it's manageable, they could slowly start the economy back as treatments and new tests are made available. I think bars and clubs will probably take a bit longer or have some mandatory limits on people allowed inside.

True but they are quick to be racist and quick to support each other, even when they are breaking the law. More than in the UK for example.

German police can be trusted up to a point but they are definitely biased. The big thing in Germany is personal dignity (esp. in public) and so they are not going to put up with widespread heavy handed policing against them. General vagrancy levels are lower than in anglo societies as well. Public trust is generally high but in non-impersonal situations, where they don't know you, that can depend heavily on where you come from.

British police are sanctimonious and self-righteous but generally speaking are very slow to escalate. They are much easier to keep onside IMO then either German or US police.

Not sure if you ever saw any of the videos from trollstation. They show how tolerant UK police can be - most of the time.

I made a thread on political affiliations in this forum and there was not one black Republican. Matter of Fact there was more Brothas like me Moderate Independent.

So what make you say people who don't have the same political view as you are Republicans

I came from a Black Family that believe in voting who were on City Councils involve in politics unlike some on here and my family are life long democrats

And if they are so fukkin what. I don't care what you are as long you about truth and doing what's right

That's why I'm Independent, because I call bullshyt on both. Democrats is just as guilty as Republicans when it comes to the black race
