Appreciate it breh. Yeah my homeboy sister was a nurse at a retirement home. She had a slight cold on a friday. Tested positive and by that next Tuesday was on a ventilator. Then by Sunday that same week was dead. So she caught the virus and died in 7 days.

I am glad your mom has you to depend on. I am in a separate state than my parents. But I talk to them daily and I order food and have items they need shipped to them. They are older so I worry about them. Plus my sister and brother do health checks on them by stopping by the house (and they talk through the house window).

Then I just found out that there is an outbreak in waterloo Iowa. Which is where I have counsins and my great aunt who is 96 (she is the oldest living family member). So I worry about her as well too with this virus attacking the elderly.

But yeah man its gonna be a bumpy ride for the next few months. You and your mom take care man and be safe.

I read something about viral load a few weeks back. That nurses come into contact with several patient several times a day so they basically keep getting infected at small amounts so even if they are young it gets at them.

That’s why rotating them out is so important and why once it’s in a nursing facility it wrecks havoc.

not to mention nursing homes don't have the greatest infection control practices

If N95 and ppe are hard to get for hospitals just imagine a nursing home.

What's crazy if PSWS, nursing assistants were being paid a liveable wage, covid would have never really touched nursing homes, but all these healthcare workers working at 2 and 3 places taking transit etc.

WOW. That is wild, it happened just that quick.

The severity of the symptoms and your ability to fight the infection off is dependent on how much of a viral load you're infected with. Being a nurse, frequently working in such close proximity to people who are infected, she almost assuredly had a large viral load. :francis:

"You go to work. Why can't I go to work?"

Because dumb bytch he's a doctor so he's essential :gucci:

Irony here is that if she's so concerned about working there's essential jobs that are more than willing to hire her at this time but where is she? Distracting someone who's job is to save lives. God forbid she catches it during the protest because she'll be looking to him to save her dumbass

Merica y'all :francis:

She right. because of china, that's right chi-na, black people have died. And they got the got damn audacity to blame it on black people. we cant let this slide.
She’s not right. She’s trying to deflect blame from Trump and his actions which led to American citizens dying due to his inaction. They don’t care because minorities are being affected in a higher rate so now let’s open back up

So I'm browsing flipboard and come across this article:

Scientists probe link between coronavirus survival rates & Vitamin D

It intrigues me because I take Vitamin D and I was eager to see what the study will bring. So I research a bit further and I see this:

A research team from the University of Granada in Spain is to run a ten-week trial involving 200 Covid-19 patients to establish if taking Vitamin D the can help fight the illness.

The scientist say a lack of Vitamin D in calves is thought to have been the main cause of bovine coronavirus infections in the past.

Now the crazy thing is last year I was complaining to a coworker about that same type of pain. Long story short, she recommended me to her doctor and I was told my blood sugar, cholesterol and vitamin d deficiency were bad. gave me some medicine which I still mostly take to this day. Including vitamin d which I take practically every morning. I remember last year going to Vegas with a friend for a wrestling event and in Vegas there's a lot of walking. I remember being in excruciating pain during long walks and I see now it was cuz of this. Even later in the summer when I was going out jogging with another friend, I was limited due to pain. Even got a muscle roller that I use time to time. The pain hasn't really appeared lately especially since I been taking the vitamin d, not sure which mg I have at the moment. But I thought it was crazy how theres a study saying that the same symptoms I had are thought to be the main cause of some sort of coronavirus in the past. Whether the study works remains to be seen but if I survived some sort of Rona infection.......:wow::blessed:.

Hopefully Vitamin D does help and leads us closer to a cure. :lawd:
