Oh wow, sorry to hear that breh. Is there an understanding as to why the sister passed?

For me and mine.. really its just me and moms. I'm an essential worker but, I can't work because I am her caretaker, so its a weird situation. I'm extra stealthy with the way I maneuver nowadays. Because even though I can tank the virus (probably) she has 0% chance, unless hydroxycholoroquine really works. Thankfully I only have her and myself to worry about. I can't imagine having a whole ass family during this situation. The stress could be unbearable.

Appreciate it breh. Yeah my homeboy sister was a nurse at a retirement home. She had a slight cold on a friday. Tested positive and by that next Tuesday was on a ventilator. Then by Sunday that same week was dead. So she caught the virus and died in 7 days.

I am glad your mom has you to depend on. I am in a separate state than my parents. But I talk to them daily and I order food and have items they need shipped to them. They are older so I worry about them. Plus my sister and brother do health checks on them by stopping by the house (and they talk through the house window).

Then I just found out that there is an outbreak in waterloo Iowa. Which is where I have counsins and my great aunt who is 96 (she is the oldest living family member). So I worry about her as well too with this virus attacking the elderly.

But yeah man its gonna be a bumpy ride for the next few months. You and your mom take care man and be safe.

WOW. That is wild, it happened just that quick. But, she was a nurse and probably did plenty good and helped saved many lives during her time. Not many of us will be able to say that.

shyt, my mom is all I have to depend on.. I've legit asked a half dozen family members to check on her and do little things while I worked. Not one of them did one thing, not one single time. I despise my family for that. So, I been off work since Thanksgiving holiday because of that. To me it seems like it was meant to be. It's been me and moms since I was born, so, why not end this way..


Waterloo is having an outbreak? Most likely due to trucking and CRST. That is where they train for manuals, Cedar Rapids is where they train for automatics. So an outbreak in either place doesn't surprise me.

She talking about driving herself to the hospital?! in her condition??? so all of us debating if we gonna call the ambulance, I wanted to wait until morning but we called them up, the youngest is going with her when they get here, I'm gonna take the car keys and drive and pick him up if they admit her... Sorry you and your mom going through this. I recommend your mom does breathing exercises to get rid of mucus and open up airway. The doctors should have or already prescribed medication for her like anti viral, anti biotic, albuterol, and pain and fever reducers. I find what helped my mom were the breathing exercises, a lot of hot liquid like ginger tea, an oximeter for piece of mind, nebulizer, and sleeping on her stomach to relieve the pressure off the lungs.

We tried to avoid the hospital as much as possible but we are in NYC so its crazy here.
