THERE IS NO POINT OF CONTENTION.
A SIMPLE MAP OR GLOBE SHOWS
MOST OF RUSSIA IS IN ASIA.
I'm straying all kinds of off topic here. This is turning into geography and history.. so I'll put it in spoilers to be fair to the rest of the forum. Except for this paragraph
With an area of 13.1 million square kilometres (5,100,000 sq mi), Siberia makes up roughly 77% of Russia's total territory and almost 9% of Earth's land surface (148,940,000 km2, 57,510,000 sq mi). While Siberia falls entirely within Asia, many authorities such as the UN geoscheme will not subdivide countries and will place all of Russia as part of Europe and/or Eastern Europe. Major geographical zones include the West Siberian Plain and the Central Siberian Plateau.
So as you see, there is contention. This is just an excerpt from Wiki, but it is known that Europe wants all of Russia to be part of Europe. Asia wants east of the Urals to be Asia. Russia has had its own debates about this since the 1800s. How you say there is no contention when those are facts doesn't make sense. Showing a map, which is part of the problem on both sides because there are different maps depending on who drew them, doesn't hold water.
Hypothetically, if the population east of the Urals were to be heavily infected with the rona, how do you think that would be classified? Where/who would those cases be attributed to?
