For those that order delivery, I would personally avoid salads. I order hot food and I leave the bag by my sanitizing area by the door, then I take the food out using gloves. I already have plates ready so i transfer the food from the containers to my plate then I use the microwave or oven to heat up the food again. It's a 500 degree oven so if the coronavirus can survive that then it deserves to live.
What about lettuce in hamburgers?

I said after the recovery. i.e. when we get back to low unemployment, a lot of people won't learn their lesson and increase their savings rate.

That may take years and it's going to change life as we know it. Those people will change too if they don't turn to drugs or a life of crime.

you have more faith in the average American than I do. IMO most will be the same consumerists after the recovery (which may be years). Most won't do anything about not being obese either to lower their risk of dying from these diseases. Agree to disagree:yeshrug:

there's a diff between YOU putting something in the oven at home and you are the only person that has access to your food... and then someone else in a fast food place or restaurant putting your food in the oven, and then taking it out and multiple folks breathing over it, maybe even coughing and not being as sanitary as we NEED to be during this pandemic.

I sanitize everything I buy from the store. As soon as I get home, I throw it in the sink and wash it. I'm talking bags of chips, fries, canned food, whtever... it's getting soaped up and washed

Don't you still have to buy what you put in the oven?

It's just showing you the range of people who are dying and that one is particularly interesting because it looks like that is Broward County Florida and Florida was downplaying the seriousness and they were not closing beaches and issuing stay-at-home

Thats all I was trying to figure out!

From what I understand, the virus has a lifespan. So if someone caught some wild salmon up in Alaska, I'm sure it's at least a week or 2 for it to get canned, boxed and then transported to my local supermarket. That's different from someone breathing and coughing over your food less than an hour ago.

You a fukking joke and kidding yourself.

Trump keeps pumping this drug but doesn't realize the way it is happening now Is that it's included in a cocktail of drugs in attempting to combat the virus. So it is given in conjunction with things like Tamiflu, asthma medication, etc. It is not being used on its own to treat people. Secondly, it is not a cureall like its being presented. If it was, we still wouldn't have people dying of the disease and you'd bet they would giving this to all patients so they can get them off the ventilators and out of the hospital asap. This is why the efficacy hasn't been definitive in its conclusions.

There are some small trials that show its not as effective at all
A small trial finds that hydroxychloroquine is not effective for treating coronavirus

However, a study just published in a French medical journal provides new evidence that hydroxychloroquine does not appear to help the immune system clear the coronavirus from the body. The study comes on the heels of two others - one in France and one in China - that reported some benefits in the combination of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin for COVID-19 patients who didn’t have severe symptoms of the virus.

A second French group, led by Jean-Michel Molina, has now tested the hydroxychloroquine-azithromycin combination treatment in 11 patients at the Hôpital Saint-Louis in Paris, France, and their results were strikingly different.

Like the Marseille study, the Molina trial was also a small pilot study. Molina and colleagues used the same dosing regimen as Gautret. In contrast, however, to the Gautret study, eight of the 11 patients had underlying health conditions, and 10 of 11 had fevers and were quite ill at the time the dosing began.

These Paris researchers found that after five to six days of treatment with hydroxychloroquine (600 mg per day for 10 days) and azithromycin (500 mg on day 1 and 250 mg on days 2 to 5), eight of the 10 patients still tested positive for COVID-19. Of these 10 patients, one patient died, two were transferred to the ICU and another had to be removed from the treatment due to serious complications.

In addition, a similar study in China also showed no difference in viral clearance after seven days either with or without the hydroxychloroquine with the patients in the trial. This supports Molina’s findings.

So at worst, with Trump pushing this as being a cureall without definitive scientific support, he is depriving people of lupus medication for example while its benefits are minimal in fighting the disease.

That is why he should just shut the fukk up on the matter. Leave the medical shyt to Fauci and Birx because you can trust they will parse the information correctly. Trump always misquotes, misstates, and sometimes outright lie about things. I mean he obviously learned about the Spanish Flu before the conference today and even fukked up reciting the year it occurred as 1917 instead of 1918. So that is why he should stop trusting himself to recite information accurately.

you can playback the data here. even earlier in the day, US has a lot more flights than Europe and either way there shouldnt be allowed to be so many planes in the air in the US for now.

Flightradar24: Live Flight Tracker - Real-Time Flight Tracker Map

We were always going to be the epicenter, people travel to all over the US from around the world. That's how this shyt spread. People keep talking about South America and Africa wondering why the rates are low. This is why, the amount of people in and out of those areas aren't as high.

And we still have these flights all over :mjcry:
