Just wondering brehs how much worse is this virus for someone who smokes regularly? I worry about my mom and pops
For anybody with preexisting lung damage such as me and probably your parents from being smokers, this will be considerably more dangerous than the average person

You can take steps to prevent heart disease that don't involve locking yourself in your home and having no contact with anyone in the outside world for possibly months. This is a contagious disease that will pretty soon if you interact with the outside world will be almost impossible to avoid.

Nobody wants to stare down the barrel of the gun that's going to kill them. This disease has people staring down that barrel even if their odds are good they'll survive it.

Given your earlier post maybe you aren't the best person to gauge the severity of this.

Talking about "soon this will be impossible to avoid." :mjlol:

The fukk?

Let's say this kills 1.6 million people in the U.S. Which is far beyond what's expected. That's 0.5% of the population.

So where it this "impossible to avoid" nonsense coming from? :what:

Most people that get this will recover just fine.

And people stare down the barrel of what's going to kill them everyday.

Smokers don't know cancer exists?

People don't drink every day, knowing it can kill them?

40% of America is considered obese, you think they don't know heart disease exists?

So what are you talking about? People been staring down guns their whole life. This is just a new gun, so it seems scarier.

Between 100k to 200k in deaths? That means they're are expecting this shyt to be all year.

Italy's death toll wasn't even projected to be that high.

Something is off.

too many people are ignoring social-distancing guidelines. people who test positive with mild symptoms are released from the hospital and return to a home with multiple occupants. of course it's gonna get worse here.

Pretty soon if not already if you step out of your house and into a public place this disease will likely be almost impossible to avoid. You will either encounter an actual carrier with it or a surface contaminated by a carrier of it. That's what the fukk I mean. I thought that was clear.

You can live for 50-60 some odd years and smoke or be obese and even if you intellectually "know" it's a problem you can still mostly ignore it to an extent.

You speak like a third person observer not someone who lived through the stuff you're talking about. Most smokers aren't constantly sitting around thinking about how it's going to ruin their health. They just smoke and put that out of mind until their day or reckoning comes. Same with obese people. Many of these people do little to nothing to address their issue until they have a close encounter with death. That's because they normally give it little thought.

This is a contagious disease. There isn't much personal responsibility involved with you getting it. You become it's victim.
