Could Tom Chambers Be A Star In Todays NBA?

I was watching the 87 NBA All-Star game. That game was somewhat of the coming out party for Chambers. Some thought Magic should have won the MVP award but Chambers got it.

Overall, I definitely believe Chambers could play in today's league but, could he have been a "Star"?

Chambers was the franchise player for the Sonics and Suns at one time. We all know he was a lethal scoring machine during his era. For a white guy, Tom was very athletic at 6'10. Underrated dunker, could run the floor and could score anywhere on the court and had the ability to drive it to the basket like no other.

But, unfortunately Chambers couldn't play defense to save his life. Very unbalanced game he had, he wasn't that bad of a rebounder as well. In the 89-90 season with the Suns, Tom was averaging 27which was outstanding.

Brother have you seen Tom play in his prime and WHO he played against. Numbers aren't everything. In today's league Tom could average at least 20 a game with the defense that teams play and probably get 10 Free throw attempts a night.
