this is 80 sets ? in 1 day ? in 1 gym session ? This would take near 3 hours, if you never took a break longer than 1:30 just doing the math.

Not a piss break, not a talk break, not a look at social media break, not just catching your breath longer than usual break... :stopitslime: realistically between bathroom breaks, drink breaks, talking to random people breaks that does happen at times, you are looking at a 4-5 hour work out :stopitslime:

its 80 sets.. lets assume 8ish reps each (some may be 12 some may be 6) - 30 seconds per set and 1:30 minute rest between sets if you are lifting healthy and not just doing bull shyt

this dont even count the time it takes to set up stations :stopitslime:

this is not a good work out :manny: and im sorry im not believing you are lifting for 4-5 hours in 1 gym session with very little breaks :manny:
I’ve done about 40-50 sets in an exercise and that takes me like 3 hours.

80 sets?! LMAO!

10 sets of ONE EXERCISE IS fukkING RIDICULOUS!

Unless you’re a power lifter wtf is that?!

Anyone here wanna compare physiques? 99% of y’all not touching me and I ain’t even big.
Most powerlifters do low reps, wtf are you talking about????:dahell: It’s a powerbuilding split like @Son Goku said.

You’re ducking questions now. What are your stats?

I said 10 sets on one exercise, not your entire workout. I’m not doing 10 sets of flat barbell chest press then go on to do the rest of my chest workout :mjlol:

I omitted the number 1. :snoop:

Doing 10 working sets of 1 exercise is commonplace on all those programs, and those are just the ones I know off rip.

I am a powerlifter though.

And nah, I don't wanna compare physiques since: 1) that's mango; 2) I'm not a bodybuilder; 3) I'm still bigger and stronger than you; 4) it doesn't matter if another dude like my body, only care how the broads be judging it. :dame: :dame: :dame:

Good shyt. Stay on point and listen to your body as you get older.
And this is how I know you guys don't lift seriously. You are too scared to push yourself because you worry about injuries. And you say it's junk volume, based on what? How can you say you get the same results with less? You don't even know what his goal is :gucci:
You know what you right man. I don't lift seriously and I don't know what I'm talking about. The gym subform on The Coli is the premier fitness platform on the web. This is where the best of the best come to talk about lifting. I'm just here to learn from you guys.

You right tho, I see he is a powerlifter so he isn't lifting for hypertrophy. I just lift to look better than 95% of men including men 15 years younger than me.

I'm not even saying that. I just hate how whenever someone talks about pushing themselves, people like you come in and try to talk down on it. It's cool if you goal is aesthetics there's nothing wrong with that, just say that instead of "When those injuries start to pile up". That's just hate.

Telling someone who lifts heavy to be careful is hating? Have you been injured while training?

That's not what you said though. You specifically said, "Why would I do that much volume when I can get the same results with less"(hate). Then you followed it up by saying "When those injuries pile up:ufdup:"(again hate). You could have just said that you have different goals and kept it moving. I never had an injury from lifting but I have had injuries from other sports, so what. How can you know what you capable of if you're too afraid to push yourself to the limit? If that's not for you that's fine. No one is going to shyt on you for choosing aesthetics, and you shouldn't shyt on those of us who choose strength.

Cmon that’s not hate man. We men, we talk with force at times but that doesn’t mean we spewing hatred lol.

Look I’m a personal trainer so seeing that amount of volume and frequency startled me due to my experience. I can’t hate on anybody going to the gym tho. I love it. Just understand this is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Treat your body with respect because you only get one.

If it wasn't hate then I take back what I said. We just always get similar comments whenever we talk about lifting heavy so I apologize. And I'm with its a life long journey and I want to see everyone taking part in it win no matter what their goal is:salute:

Somebody talking like that who isn't an IFBB pro or IG/YT fitfluencer is prolly less aesthetic than the average strength bro, despite not training for "aesthetics", because those mirror muscle dudes don't actually push themselves.

Squat? Nah, just leg press. Multiple heavy compounds per session? Nah, machines and cables ftw. Hitting legs more than once a moon cycle? Nah, one day of legs and 4 upper body days a week, brah.

Most skrong cats I know irl look skrong. :yeshrug:
