Could I watch The Winter Soldier first, do I have to see the first movie?

I'm just wondering if it's necessary since the first movie isn't as highly rated as the second (which has very good acclaim).

First one is batman begins to the second ones dark knight....id watch it first, as it sets up the second one. First one is very good, and is cool to see a superhero movies set in the 40's. Second one is up there with the best comic book movies

It's not really neccessary but there are CRUCIAL details in the first movie which coincide in the winter soldier movie... So just watch it....

I wouldn't say you have to watch it but there are things that happen in winter soldier that will carry more weight if you do

I meant more or less as far as set up goes. i Enjoyed cap 1, but unless he knows the story and the whole

I thought cap 1 was pretty weak. U get a little more background about the main villain/organization. And its prob a bigger shock when u find out who the winter soilder actually is. But outside of that, u can def get by without watching the first one.

cap 2 is probably my favorite marvel movie
