I think the only thing that would be changed is Lloyd's character.

Don't think you could have a show where Ari just cracks jokes about him being gay like he did with a shyt storm of bad press.

It’s a shame how that show fell off

looking back adrian was the main character but was such a trash actor

Looking back it’s like damn, he was really bad. :mjlol:

Piven and Dillion put in some great performances. Doesn’t hurt that their characters are so well written.

Going off its core target audience, it could be. The problem would be once the Me Too movement go hold of it, and Hollywood women would now rally against it.

OHHH. That's what I'll watch

Yeah they would make it exactly the same and they would receive praise as the character is "characterizing the toxic male personalities that dominate the entertainment industry." They would be criticized for some of the shyt that went on but it would be bypassed as "being true to life"

twiiter would be fulll of "yaaasss HBO, expose him for misogyny/chauvinism/etc" *clapping emoji*

He was the fat guy who would go OFF everytime Vince and the gang stiffed him on an opportunity. He offered Vince two movie roles that he turned down and then offered to buy Medellien and they turned him down. He ended up buying the movie for one dollar and released it straight to DVD.

The OP is definitely right about one thing though. Ari could NOT exist as a television character The way he was written on the show. Dude used to go INNNNNNNN on his gay assistant Lloyd (which would be the main issue)
Vince used to turn down hella roles in that show:hhh:

Master of fact where is the actor that played Vince? I know he's not turning down shyt in real life these days:sadcam:As for the Entourage no way you could do that show exactly the way it was in today's climate. Most of the females on the show were basically there just to see if Vinny and the other whites/jews wanted to fukk them or not. Hell, Ari used to rip and bash the shyt out of his gay assistant pretty much every episode

I was rewatching some episodes today and I started thinking if there is any chance this show could ever be made in today’s Me Too climate? :heh:

The show was a male fantasy and It was a so popular at the time that even Obama was admitted big fan.

There is no way Ari’s character could ever exist on such a large platform, let alone have the president of the U.S admitting to being a fan.

It’s crazy how things have changed in a few years.

they could do it now, but it would have to be really toned down. so much usage of the word "f@g" and "retard" it wouldn't fly now obviously.

I loved this show cuz it came out when I was in my 20's and it looked like they were having so much fun.

actually just decided to do a rewatch since I've only watched it thru one time ever.

BY THE WAY, the movie was terrible though.

I don’t see how y’all say these things like Hollywood isn’t exempt for the most part in shows and movies. It’s when the people involved voice their opinions in real life, where they get in trouble.

But last I checked, always sunny is still on. F is for family. Curb your enthusiasm. Power. BMF. Snowfall. Vikings was just on.

We got all types raunchy, degrading, wild ass shows on tv saying all the same shyt from before and worse, and they aren’t going anywhere.

this show was tame in comparison

I don’t think Ari could get away with his treatment of Loyd or his wife in this climate. Even the last couple of seasons, they brought in female writers to emasculate Ari and Vince and give women a larger voice.

And they fukked up the show with that shyt. :heh:
