Depends on what you're eating.
If I had to live off a few dollars a day I'd probably make do with Ramen Noodles and Tuna...not fine cuisine but I'd be able to buy enough not to be hungry. You can usually get Ramen noodles like 5/$1.00 and cans of Tuna for like 60 or 70 cent. So about five bowls of Ramen Noodles and a few cans of tuna a day would be enough fat, protein, and carbs to live off of and not be hungry.
It would definitely suck though.
