That appears to be directly rebutted by the OP. Do you wish to clarify?

And I'm not sure why you're trying to derail the thread rather than stating what about his proposal you disagree with.
He hates Bernie and started talking before reading. Nothing he said there is controversial or wildly leftist.

This is stupid. NASA's primary manned mission is a moon/Mars rocket. We don't need Bezos. All that billionaire rockets boys club wants is the clout and they'll kill people to get there first. Then turn around and chest thump about how private industry is better than the government.

Without SpaceX and private space travel, NASA would be stillborn.

People act dumb about it but the best way to "bring jobs back" is to give companies incentives to do so.

Yes, that was their lane. Low earth orbit, NASA was going to do the long range research stuff.

This is brilliant. From the responses I feel a lot of people didn't even read the entire post. What about this proposal do you disagree with?

The chair of the budget committee is doing nothing.

That appears to be directly rebutted by the OP. Do you wish to clarify?

Because I'm patient enough to allow things to play out.

What did Sanders gain here? Not enough to make him vote yes and the bill easily passed despite his objections.

:russell:

So you were impatient enough to shyt on him 3 times for trying to do the right thing, ignorant enough to ghost when your claim of inaction was falsified, and then disingenuous enough to do a victory lap just because the mainstream dems and mainstream repubs happen to work together to thwart america's interests by being on the same page yet again, which is the exact sort of bullshyt we regularly point out to you?

shyt on him for doing the right thing?

No, I criticized him for doing his political grandstanding routine that plays well for his base, but does very little if anything at all with regard to getting changes actually implemented.

What has he actually done with his position that he wasn't doing before?

Has this position made him a better coalition builder?

Did any of his proposed changes get accepted?

Either way, the lack of long posts from you showing what he has done as Chair probably is enough to show that he hasn't done much to write home about.

Don't pretend you hate him for failing to do what literally no one else has succeeded in doing. You would hate him that much more if he succeeded.

I don't hate him. I just don't buy the hype. Never did and that makes you so angry.

He has never been a great legislator, but I'm merely holding him by the standards set when he became chair.:yeshrug:

Atop the Powerful Budget Committee at Last, Bernie Sanders Wants to Go Big (Published 2021)

‘Finally doing right’: Democrats’ big bill offers Sanders chance to deliver

“People thought that he just yelled a lot, but didn’t get anything done,” said US Rep Pramila Jayapal, Progressive Caucus Chair and a 2020 campaign surrogate for Mr Sanders.
Hi, I'm people.

“But I really don’t think that’s ever been true,” she told The Los Angeles Times. “And I also think that people underestimate the power of the movement, the power of populism, the power of people really believing in something – and Bernie never has underestimated that.”
Maybe I'm just underestimating the power of the movement :ehh:

None of y'all cared about this or even mentioned it when it passed the house.

In fact before this thread the only mention of this legislation was a guy complaining about purchasing reptiles.:mjlol:

Bipartisan legislation passed that's supported by the majority of Americans.
