They're not worried about getting sick but the curfew, not being able to travel, do routine things and stuff like that is starting to get to them. Grocery stores are super hit or miss and lots of empty shelves. That's all I can remember off the top of my head. They're in Milan which is a major city and capital of Lombardy.
If they can’t work how are they earning a income?

Women charged over toilet paper scuffle
Police in New South Wales have charged two women over an altercation at a supermarket at Chullora in Sydney yesterday. The women allegedly fought over some of the supermarket’s dwindling supplies of toilet paper.

Toilet paper has been selling out across Australia in a wave of panic buying over coronavirus. Stocks of dried pasta, hand soap, and over-the-counter painkillers are also rapidly selling out.

@gluvnast the experience of suffering covid19 and suffering a regular flu is not that similar. For arguments sake let’s pretend the symptoms are the same.

If that were the case, it would still be an awful thing to have this many people getting sick in the world, at the same time, at this rate of speed.

Hell if the common cold was spreading at this rate all over the world it would cause a lot of problems.

People keep saying the flu kills more people as if dying or not is the only thing that matters here.

If there were a vaccine that had gone through the appropriate FDA trials, etc, I would absolutely get one. I had a terrible H1N1 flu once, and I’ve gotten the vaccine ever since. Doesn’t mean I can’t get a flu strain but not having the full blown flu in a long time has been great.

I didn't say the suffering was similar. I said that NOBODY gives two fukks about the flu despite it still being a significant bigger killer and way more significant number of people catch the flu. But every several years, a new strand or virus emerges and people panic that it's the plaque but really it ends up being much ado about nothing. More people are STILL recovering from the Coronavirus than people are dying from it. There's nothing stating you have to change how you are living due to the virus that you should be doing already. But because of the panic and overreaction we having widespread quarantines that aren't that necessary considering the major fatal victims are more or less the same kind of victims when someone catches the flu.

Are you planning to change up with what you are doing?

"Self quarantine? :hhh: F*ck that, let me go pick up an extra shift at the hotel :smugfavre:"
A man who tested positive for Covid-19 in Tasmania, Australia, ignored an instruction to self-isolate after being tested at the Royal Hobart hospital on Friday, local media is reporting.

Instead he went to public places and worked his Saturday shift at the Hotel Grand Chancellor.

The man, aged in his 20, arrived in Hobart on 26 February after travelling from Nepal and Singapore and returned a positive test to the virus on Saturday.

Authorities are working to determine if any of his colleagues need to self-isolate.
