Yeah I know breh.
I got 5 kids, a wife that works in healthcare and a lung cancer surviving father.
Im honestly terrified right now.
Me too. I'll be thinking about you guys.
My mom is a public health nurse who just turned 65, and she has a strong immune system but she has a history of upper respiratory infections. She has one more year to retirement with a full pension, and she's considering calling it one year early. My family has always been fairly open about talking about death, and my mom has always said she thinks when she goes it'll be due to pneumonia or some type of respiratory issue. The fact that this virus attacks the lungs has my family pretty shook. She also works in some schools with high Chinese populations.
I don't really know what to do right now other than to hope for the best. She's most worried about being called to take care of a gym full of sick people if it comes to that. She said she might outright refuse and just get fired if it comes to it. I think she's more scared than she's letting on right now. She's not young but she's still so full of life, and she has the energy of someone half her age. I can't imagine losing her this year.
We gotta stay strong, breh. It sounds like your wife and my mom have a lot in common. I'll be hoping for the best for you and yours!
