Read that they thought the virus was orginally from that open air meat market but it could of orginated from somewhere else

Of course. They have eaten these "exotic" foods for centuries and suddenly it just happens to becoom a food market or something.

One story is there is a lab in Canada that was infiltrated by Chinese nationals and they brought it to a Level 4 lab just outside Wuhan, and somehow it got out...just a theory.

Also some connections to the usual big name suspects that promote population control.

Nobody knows so nothing is off the table concerning origin.

This is kind of distasteful...the man and his administration has long shown to have a racially tinged animus against Muslims and you know it

At the very least, he has used Americans xenophobic culture to drum up hatred against Muslims, something that is unwarranted and despicable.

America has been xenophobic about the Chinese for centuries.

I don't disagree with your comments. I just wanted to see the mental gymnastics people would do to justify one while denying the other.

So how many of you support banning travel to/from China in the interest of public safety?

If you mean all travelers, not just Chinese origin, I would say halt most airline flights to make it more controllable and have separate Customs lines and forms for any people of any citizenship that were in the PRC since early January. You can't stop anyone from going but you should recommend they check in at consulates, take safety precautions, etc. If someone has been to China, I would tell them to report any sickness ASAP. For the current cases, you gotta track down their contacts. Ethnicity shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Weird because we don’t ban traveling for Influenza - which seems to be deadlier if I’m not mistaken.

1st Person-To-Person Spread Of Coronavirus Has Occurred In U.S., CDC Says

The first human-to-human transmission of the deadly Wuhan coronavirus has occurred in the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Thursday.

The respiratory virus was spread from a woman who had recently traveled to China and gave it to her husband when she returned to Chicago, CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield said.

It's the sixth confirmed case of the new coronavirus, or 2019-nCoV, in the U.S.

In addition to Illinois, other cases have been confirmed in California, Arizona, and Washington state. Worldwide, the Wuhan coronavirus has spread to at least 20 countries since it was identified last month, the CDC says.

Illinois health officials are currently investigating 21 other possible cases in the state. The CDC says the relatively few people who have been identified as close contacts of people with confirmed coronavirus infections should follow the guidance of their doctors and health departments.

The CDC says members of the public do not need to wear masks out of concern for the coronavirus.
