My sister is a nurse in Dallas and she was giving me a breakdown of how many masks they would need just at her unit per shift she was estimating 100 masks for 1 patient in a 12 hour shift if they had Coronavirus patientswe good but we gonna pump out 35 million mask per month
so 200 a day per patient? why so many

“Every time someone else walks in the room, they need one too. So if the respiratory therapist goes in 4-5 times, and the doctor goes in a few times, dietitians, social workers, case managers, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, specialists that were consulted, nurses coming in to help turn or hang meds easily 100 masks per patient per shift. If you forget something and need to go out of the room, CDC guidelines are to throw away all the PPE and regown when you come back“
So some additional clarification here, she is neuro ICU so the dietician, OT, PT specialists may not be applicable to other patients who have this. But those specialists are generally only coming once per day so it is not the bulk of those masks being used. It is family, doctors and nurses.
But on the other side of the equation she is dealing with a lot of people who would be prime candidates to get the virus because they skew older and weaker immune system so they are doing daily prep for this cause they believe it is coming.
The Presidential team are like the Producers. See how they can fukk up and still get cheered. Just think, people clap for this man because of the first black American president. People voted for incompetence because of a black man. People will watch other people die and still congratulate and cheer Trump on, because of a black man.
Or just as worse, when minimum wage service workers without insurance start getting it. Think they can afford to miss work?
