So a guy I know just posted on FB about a close friend of his that caught it. His buddy was in FL for work over the last 2 weeks and took a few days extra to go to Disneyworld . Now he has it (35, cyclist but has asthma). He's on a ventilator now...

Talked to my sis earlier today she works as a P.A. in a clinic. She says they've switched to "telecare" as much as possible, having people do their doctor visits over skype because they don't want sick/elderly folk gathering in crowded waiting rooms.

She also said they're low on EVERYTHING so far as equipment goes. Medical professionals are supposed to use 1 mask per patient but now they saying keep using the same mask for as many patients as possible until that shyt gets moist (which means no longer effective) cause there ain't enough masks to go around.

She said medical professionals are really fukking pissed off at Trump for having downplayed it for so long and says that a lot of people who were listening to him still ain't taking it seriously enough. I joked about that being a good thing in the long run and getting something good out of segregation, but she doesn't think that effect will be enough to matter, the dumb uncareful people are gonna fukk it up for everyone.

True. shyt hasn’t even popped off yet in the US and I gotta run around the hospital looking for N95 masks. I used to could just go in any supply room in whatever floor and they’d have boxes and boxes of them but now they’re scarce. We’re about to be exposed brehs

Explain to me the economics of Japan who has printed quadrillion dollars not a trillion but a quadrillion YEN and have handed it out to private institutions and public citizens.

A lot of people don't know that to get inflation off of monetary expansion you need a decent velocity of money which Japan doesn't have to my recollection.

I also always thought in Japan's case that the Yen was sucked out via carry trade loans which helped eliminate the threat of inflation. Though to be honest with all the JGBs, ETFs, and other shyt the BOJ owns I have no idea how their monetary system works now.
